Agnes Marie Jones

Agnes Marie Jones, 92, of Benton; died at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Franklin Hospital in Benton.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Marion with Bro. Roy Baker officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2011 at the East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Arrangements are through the Leffler - Poulson Funeral Home of Benton.

Agnes was born on December 27, 1918 in Marion, Illinois the daughter of Vince and Agnes (Wallace) Cagle. She was married to Lawrence "Bob" Jones, Jr. and he survives.

Mrs. Jones was the former owner and operator of Marie's Beauty Shop in Herrin. Before her health failed her, she and her husband attended and were members of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Marion.

Survivors include her husband Lawrence "Bob" Jones, Jr. of Benton, a son John Giles and wife Judith of Thompsonville, a daughter Sue and husband Bob Baggett of Fort Worth, TX, four grandchildren Jonathan Giles of Thompsonville, Michael Baggett, Maureen Broadway and Andrew Baggett all of Fort Worth, TX, a sister Violet Hindman of White Ash, a brother Wallace Cagle of Benton, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother August Cagle, and four sisters Mable Ladendecker, Mary Bulliner, Pearline Imhoff and Elizabeth Culvey.
