Bernice Frances Leone

Bernice Frances Leone, 81, of Carbondale; died at 3:42 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2011 at the Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin.
Mrs. Leone's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the East Liberty Church in Carbondale, with Rev. Darrell Wimberly officiating. Leffler - Poulson Funeral Home of Benton, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Leone was born January 12, 1930 in Chicago, the daughter of Anton and Frances Zielinski. She married Ignatius Leone on August 27, 1954 and he preceded her in death in May 1980.
Bernice worked as a packing inspector with Federal Die Casting in Chicago. She attended the East Liberty Church in Carbondale.
She is survived by her daughter: Cecelia Leone of Carbondale; and a brother: Mike Zielinski of Chicago, and a granddaughter: Lauren Ashley Leone of Benton.
Mrs. Leone was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and two brothers.
