Carol Jane King

Mrs. Carol Jane King, age 89, of Benton, passed away at 3:37 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at her residence at Heritage Woods of Benton.

Mrs. King’s wishes are to be cremated.

No public services are planned at this time.

Leffler Funeral Home of Benton; is in charge of the cremation arrangements.

Carol Jane King was born on March 20, 1932 in Chicago, IL; the daughter of Owen Gullicksen and Ella (Schwartz) Gullicksen. She was married to Harold Vincent King, and he preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of West Frankfort.

Surviving is a son Bill King and wife Karen of Benton; a daughter Karen King of Asheville, NC; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers: Owen Gullicksen, Jr., and Robert Gullicksen.
