Constance Jo "Connie" Martin, 59, of West Frankfort; died at 1:16 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012 at St. Louis University Hospital.

Private family graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery of Benton. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Leffler - Poulson Funeral Home of Benton.

Mrs. Martin was born on May 25, 1952 in Ewing, IL the daughter of Lawrence Pierson and Mary (Kays) Pierson. She married Vern C. "Bud" Martin on November 11, 1983 and he survives.

Connie was a former receptionist and shift manager with Holiday Inn.

She is survived by her husband Vern C. "Bud" Martin of West Frankfort; six children: David Martin of Sparta, TN, Laura Edwards of White Ash, Kenneth Barnfield of Sparta, TN, Kris Rich of Benton, Scott Barnfield of Sparta, TN, Steven Martin of Benton; seventeen grandchildren; five siblings: Kenneth Pierson, David Pierson, Mike Pierson, Edward Pierson, Gregory Pierson and Julia Pierson all of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two grandchildren.
