David Bruce Wyant

David Bruce Wyant, 67, of Benton; died at 7:25 a.m. Thursday, November 24, 2011 in the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the Leffler-Poulson Funeral Home of Benton, with Rev. Dale Burzynski officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the Leffler - Poulson Funeral Home.

David was born on October 21, 1944 in Benton, the son of Uel "Punch" Wyant and Edna Mae (Calahan) Wyant.

Mr. Wyant, before his retirement, was an appliance technician for 26 years having worked for Illinois Appliance. When he was younger he attended the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Benton.

Survivors include two children: Scotty and Kimberly Wyant; four brothers: Don Wyant, Alan Wyant, and Gary Wyant and wife Billie all of Benton, Lyn Woods and wife Sammi of Canton, Maine; two sisters: Janet Border and companion Joe Boldrey, Debbie and husband Roy Pinkston also of Benton; and Pappy's very special Grand-daughter: Erin Hungate. He also leaves a significant lady of his life: Chris Thomas and her family.

Mr. Wyant was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Randy Wyant, and a sister: Elsie Spain who died on Dec. 26, 2009.

He will be greatly missed, but not forgotten by all who knew and loved him.
