Doris A. Ing

Doris Angelina Ing, 82, of Marion; died at 2:35 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2012 at the Harrisburg Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2012 in the Leffler - Poulson Funeral Home of Benton, with Rev. Harley Archer officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Etna Cemetery near Akin. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Leffler - Poulson Funeral Home of Benton.

Mrs. Ing was born on June 2, 1929 in Pinckneyville, the daughter of Peter and Mary Ann (Cacetti) Peradotta. She married Clinton Ing on Sept. 20, 1947 in Kentucky and he survives.

Doris was a seamstress having worked at the Joan Claire Dress Factory in Benton and later working for and retiring in 2000 from the Crown Line Boat Factory in West Frankfort.

She was a member of the former East Benton Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband Clinton Ing of Marion; three sons: Dennis Ing, Keith Ing, and Weldon Ing all of Benton, a daughter: Brenda Ing of Florida, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; three brothers: Richard Peradotta, Carl Peradotta and John Peradotta all of Pinckneyville; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Ing was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Jay and George and two sisters: Margie and Lucille.
