Geraldine (Humes) Connor, age 73, of Hardin, Kentucky, passed away at 11:43 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the Leffler Funeral Home of Benton, Illinois. Burial will follow in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery of Benton. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the Leffler Funeral Home of Benton.
Mrs. Connor was born on April 23, 1949, in Tompkinsville, Kentucky; the daughter of James Eddie Humes and Hallie Jane (Ford) Humes. She was married to John Connor, together they shared 37 years of marriage; and he survives.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family.
Geraldine was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed attending church until her health would not allow her to attend.
Surviving is her loving husband John Connor of Hardin, Kentucky; three children: Darlene Lambirth and husband Richey of Edmonton, Kentucky, James Phillips, Jr. of Illinois, Daniel Phillips and wife Brittany of Benton, Illinois; eight grandchildren: Brad Warren, Marrissa Phillips, Abby Phillips, Brendan Schell, Jordan Prosise, Sydney Phillips, Kyra Phillips and Brooklyn Phillips; great-grandchildren: Abbigail Warren, Braylea Warren, Tuxten Warren, Kendrick Phillips and Keenan Phillips; two siblings: Mossie Emberton and Jerry Humes both of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Michael Emberton; one brother, Eddie Humes; and four sisters: Geneva Copas, Margie Young, Corrine Ford and Mary Ann Seals.
