Karen Tennenbaum

Karen Tennenbaum, 62, Benton, IL, died at 12:56 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Franklin Hospital in Benton.
Per the family's wishes there will be no services and Mrs. Tennenbaum will be cremated. Funeral Arrangements are through the Leffler - Poulson Funeral Home of Benton.
Karen was born on June 17, 1948 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Glenn and Darlene (Moody) Phalen. She married Steve Tennenbaum on July 15, 1985 and he survives.
Mrs. Tennenbaum formerly worked as an assitant in the Central Supply Department at St. John's Medical Center in Joplin, MO. She formerly attended and was a member of the Unity Church in Joplin, MO.
Survivors include her husband Steve Tennenbaum of Benton; a daughter Stephanie Tennenbaum of Benton; two brothers, Allen Phalen of Riverton, KS, Dennis Phalen of Birmingham, AL; a sister Glenna Walton of Galena, KS; two brothers-in-law: William Tennenbaum of Kentucky and Scott Tennenbaum of Aurora, MO and a sister-in-law Michelle Tennenbaum of Kentucky.
Mrs. Tennenbaum was preceded in death by her parents, her father and mother-in-law, a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law.
