Mary Lillian McKinnon

Mary Lillian McKinnon, age 84, of Benton, Illinois, passed away Tuesday morning, October 11, 2022, at her home at Fifth Seasons of Benton.

Her wishes are to be cremated.

A Memorial Graveside Service will be held at a future date in the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery of Benton.

Leffler Funeral Home of Benton; is in charge of the cremation arrangements.

Mary was born on June 9, 1938, in Benton, Illinois, the daughter of W.C. McKinnon and Violet Mildred (Naylor) McKinnon.

She was a retired caregiver with the Department of Health and Social Services of Wisconsin.

Mary enjoyed working puzzles, word puzzles, and going out to eat. She and her late special friend Joan loved their many cats.

Surviving are nephews: Greg Ellis and wife Jonna of West Frankfort, Shannon Webb and wife Tracey of Ewing, Bryan Ellis of Oakhurst, California, Sean Patrick McKinnon; nieces: April Sherisse McKinnon, Tracey Leigh Clawson; and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Donald “Jim” McKinnon; two sisters: Donna Ellis and Judy Webb; a nephew Donald James McKinnon, Jr.; and a special friend Joan Woods.
