Mrs. Monnie Joyce (Vaughn) Hall, age 88, of Benton, passed away at 7:42 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021, at her home in Benton.
Monnie’s wishes are to be cremated. A Memorial Graveside service will be held at a future date.
The Leffler Funeral Home of Benton is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
Mrs. Hall was born on July 18, 1932, in Thompsonville, IL; the daughter of Bernes Vaughn and Tressa (Heard) Vaughn. She married Wayne Franklin Hall on December 30, 1950; and he preceded her in death on January 13, 2015.
She was a retired factory worker, having worked for IS Berlin Printing of Chicago.
Monnie enjoyed playing Bingo, flower and vegetable gardening, her dogs, and she was an avid pet lover and owner.
Before her health failed her, she attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Thompsonville.
Mrs. Hall is survived by a daughter Kathryn Joyce Ulber of Hanover Park, IL; four granddaughters: Shanna Busse, Tammy Ulber, Tabitha Ulber and Tara Ulber; a grandson Martin Busse; several great-grandchildren; two sisters Judy Burkenpas of Mill Creek Washington, Sunny Whiteside of Elk Grove Village, IL; a son-in-law Mark Busse; several nieces and nephews; her dear friends that she and her late husband considered family: Carmalee Carr, Christy Calonne, and Donnie Fitzpatrick and her many friends and Help at Home caregivers.
Monnie was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Linda Jane Busse, a grandson Frankie Busse, and a brother Jack E. Vaughn.
