Claude Neal Mocaby, age 57, of Logan, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022, at his home.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Leffler Funeral Home of Benton. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. at the Leffler Funeral Home of Benton.
Neal’s wishes are to be cremated.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Plaster's Cemetery, North of Thompsonville.
Claude Neal Mocaby was born October 14, 1964, in Benton, Illinois; the son of Claude LaDale Mocaby and Norma Jean (Perryman) Mocaby. He formerly was married to Monty Jean Wininger, and she preceded him in death in 1997.
He worked at TNT Carbide of Logan.
Neal enjoyed hanging out with friends, acting silly and being goofy, and shooting pool. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandkids.
Surviving are three children: Claudia Marie Mocaby of Carterville, IL, Ada Lynn Mocaby of Benton, Bryan Neal Mocaby of Benton; ten grandchildren: Adonis Westerberg, Aurora Bolivar, Luciano Bolivar, Haden Jeter, Kayd Jeter, Adalynn Jeter, Colton Wayne Sullivan, Zaden Mocaby, Creek Neal Mocaby, Zalei Mocaby; three siblings: Denzil Mocaby of Logan, Helen Willett of Logan, and Michelle Mocaby of Carbondale, IL; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife; and a grandchild Claude O’Daniell.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions in memory of Neal, may be made to the Leffler Funeral Home, to assist the family with funeral expenses.
