Phyllis Green

Mrs. Phyllis Ann Green, age 86, of Evans, Georgia, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Donald Green, who passed away on April 19, 2025.

A native of Marion, Illinois, where she graduated from Marion High School. Phyllis had lived in the Augusta, Georgia, area for many years. She was a loving and devoted wife, stepmother, grandmother, and aunt.

Surviving family members include her stepson Mark Rainbolt and wife Ella, stepdaughter Rhonda Kay Saunders, and husband Steve; grandchildren: Margaret Ann Saunders, Stevie Saunders, Jamie Rainbolt, and Alex Rainbolt; a brother Wayne Stanley.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Delphia Stanley, a brother Jack Stanley; a sister Norma (Stanley) Signaigo.

She will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Graveside Entombment services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Coal Bank Springs Cemetery, of Marion, Illinois, with Rev. Rick McClintock officiating. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. The Leffler Funeral Home of Benton, Illinois, is in charge of the graveside services.
