Star Sloan

Planet Star Sloan, age 41, of Benton passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024, at her home in Benton.

Star will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Capaha Park in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

The Leffler Funeral Home of Benton is in charge of the cremation arrangements.

Planet Star Sloan was born on March 14, 1983, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the daughter of Jerry Renn and Linda (Perry) Renn.

Star formerly worked as a waitress and most recently worked as a CNA with Integrity Healthcare of Marion, IL. She was a former member of Hobbs Chapel Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

She enjoyed music, movies, and attending concerts.

Star is survived by six children: Linda Renn of Jackson, MO, Kimberly Johnson of Perryville, MO, Wyatt “Rease” Johnson of Perryville, MO, Kayla Johnson of Perryville, MO, Leanna Johnson of Perryville, MO, Manuela Vasquez of Delta, MO, and Esperanza Lattisa Vasquez of Delta, MO; a sister Hope Slaughter of Marion, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Billy Joe Renn; and a sister Rhonda Houshmand.
