Sue Ellen Stubblefield

Sue Ellen Stubblefield, age 75, of West Frankfort, passed away at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the Herrin Hospital.

Sue Ellen was born on August 18, 1949, in Benton, Illinois; the daughter of James William Summers and Dorothy (Hall) Summers. She married Carl Stubblefield in December of 1982, and he preceded her in death in 1998.

She was a retired kitchen aid and cook, having worked for the Franklin Hospital of Benton.

She was of the Pentecost faith.

Mrs. Stubblefield enjoyed needle work, crafts and painting.

Surviving are her siblings: Patricia Pedigo of Christopher, Illinois, Roberta Kiefer of Plano, Texas, Charles Summers and wife Cheryl of Sebring, Florida, Richard Summers of Johnston City, Illinois; special grandkids Boo, Brittany and Harley; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Larry Summers and Lee Summers, a nephew Corey Summers, and a brother-in-law Terry Pedigo.

Her wishes are to be cremated.
